My friend's Jillian and Henry asked me to help out with their kitchen and when I got inside I saw that they needed some MAJOR help!  This 1960's ranch had original custom built cabinets, a monster of a downward venting stove and tons of what I call "Joe Homeowner" upgrades.  Lets just say a tiny bit out of code...

Jillian wanted something updated with a clean, open look with more counter space and a better layout for cooking.  The simple white shaker uppers mixed with the grey washed lowers worked great to give it a classic look with a modern feel.  Throw in some new recessed and under cab lighting,  updated ceramic tile floor, black leathered granite and of course a round of Stainless Kitchen Aid appliances and this project was complete!  Oh yeah and lets not forget the Kohler Artifacts faucet.  By far one of the best pieces in the room!
